Supposedly this should generate a blog styled entry page where we can post random news of interest without having a giant image on the page. I guess here goes nothing…
Paradame – Ion Cannon…
There’s no doubt that Paradame is a flesh, blood, and bone human being like the rest of us. However, when she sings and raps, it’s as if she transforms into a warrior priestess who wears dub for a suit of armor. Further displays of rhythmic weaponry can be witnessed on her album Ion Cannon, boasting an arsenal of 21 tracks that tie together hip-hop and electronic music. A product of the consistently fertile garden that is the Seattle music scene, Paradame, along with producer/creative partner J. Lee, build a symbiotic relationship within the music; always able to match moods between words and notes. With 21 tracks sprawling over the course of 71 minutes, hopefully a generation of music lovers more used to singles than albums will invest the time needed to check out this incredible album. Even if you find yourself full halfway through, you anticipate the moment when you’re ready to come back for more.

Active I – The M Thesis
Active I’s most recent release The M Thesis, which typical of producer and brainchild J.Lee, is not an album that is easily categorized. Traces of reggae and industrial are incorporated woven into the fabric of the songs, that while based in hip-hop, expand on the possibilities of what the music can be. Featuring J.Lee, Auraswon, Paradame, Rubedog, B.Smooth, and El Bouchere, the album employs J.’s love of paradox; of what he calls, “complex simplicity.” Lyrically, the M Thesis encapsulates that sensibility perfectly; over hypnotic beats, with discerning and intricate messages acknowledging of the ills of society, while simultaneously delivering a feeling of senseless tomfoolery and sarcasm.

Or if you’re broke cop the free download: HERE…
“Keep calm, focus is the Key. A novel of a noble man addicted to the beat.” Seattle-based Canadian rapper Unlimited MC illustrates how he’s done just that, while he “broke the rules and kept rapping” on his first solo LP, The Key. The album, laced with hard hitting beats and clever lyricism, stands to be a future northwest underground classic. Unlimited MC’s straightforward “punch you in the face” type delivery and witty rhyme style capture the essence of true hip hop at its best. Featuring appearances by Sicksteen, AV, Status Real, Paradame, J.Lee, Auraswon, and Nick Nice, the album has plenty for every hip hop fan to love and listen to- over and over again.

The Warning is a 17 track LP from northwest hip hop collective Top Left (of AudioDose), featuring emcees J.Lee, Auraswon, Charms La Roc, B.Smooth, Unlimited MC, and Postcript. The album contains witty and defiant lyricism, interlaced with cryptic thoughts, which captivate audiences and challenge listeners to think. Raw urban narratives and gritty rhymes blend with occasionally serious topics, that beg pondering. The group’s foundation in graffiti culture, social defiance, and a relentless desire to impact the youth of today, serve as a foundation for underlying messages, filled with symbolism and sarcasm. Orchestrated by producer J.Lee, the album is lined with clean melodic rhythms, thick with emotion, and a mildly sinister edge.
Indijinis – Megiddo…

Megiddo: The Twenty Twelve Effect is a prophetic, lyrically powerful, cleverly crafted project referencing end time prophecies the political landscape and consciousness laced with some revolutionary fervor to keep you on edge and on your toes. Indijinis’ mature and sickly delivered metaphoric rhymes are aimed at the masses as a beacon of truth and a warning to all the impending dark days that lie ahead in the very near future for us all. This wake up call is filled with sick flows and ill doctrine, infectious banging tracks with production that’s on point.
